'Diverse People – One Faith'
At Verwood Methodist Church we enjoy worshipping in a variety of ways including traditional and contemporary style worship, music and bible-based teaching. The services on Sundays are led by our Minister, Reverend Nick Wood, Local Preachers from the Circuit or Worship Leaders. We welcome children and families to our Sunday worship with our Big Breakfast service, All Age services and Tree House (a children's group running alongside our 11am service).
We also meet together for fellowship and prayer, house groups, coffee mornings, lunches. afternoon groups and other events. These include a weekly prayer group, a Tuesday Afternoon Group (TAG) fortnightly, a babies and toddlers' group (Scamps) on Friday mornings, Inspire Youth Club on Fridays in term time and a monthly lunch club for older people to get together for a lunch or tea provided by church volunteers. We are also part of Churches Together in Verwood spreading God's Word in the local community and organising joint events.
Verwood Methodist Church is located in the centre of Verwood. It was established in 1909, a hall was added in the 1980s and extended further in the 1990s. Recent works have included a car park behind the church and refurbished toilets with further renovation planned to improve the facilities for church members and the wider community. The church premises are also extensively used by the local community for a wide variety of activities and clubs.
