The annual Wimborne Folk Festival took place over the weekend 9-11 June 2017. Most folk in the town gear up for an influx of people, and the Methodist Church is no exception.

We provide refreshments over Saturday and Sunday and become 'home' to various dancing groups who come and go through the weekend.

The Bric a Brac and book/jigsaw stalls are always popular, as is the cake stall.

A prayer station in the church offered an oasis of calm.

This year we were raising money for Future Pillars Zambia, a charity supporting vulnerable children in Zambia through feeding programmes, education and skills for life. We raised £2160 this year and are so thankful for the generosity of all who visited us. Thank you and see you next year.

During the Saturday afternoon, Deacon Alison McMillan was presented with a gift by Dr John Ramsden on behalf of Wimborne Church on the occasion of her Ordination on 25th June. One of the pictures shows her with Joy, who co-ordinated the church's involvement over the weekend of the Folk Festival.
