The Coffee Lounge in Wimborne's Church Foyer is open from Monday to Saturday, except for Bank Holidays, from 10.00 to 12 noon. A variety of hot and cold drinks is available, including tea, coffee, chocolate, Coke and squash, as well as a selection of biscuits. Our aim is to provide a friendly atmosphere where all who come, whether on their own or with friends, may feel relaxed and welcome.....

Wimborne lunch club

Wimborne's Lunch Club is held on Wednesdays, with forty members on the register. Over forty volunteers carry out a variety of jobs — collecting the members from their homes and ferrying them to the church; buying the provisions and cooking the meals; laying up the tables and serving....

Hi Ten is for children who range in age from toddlers to year 9 and their families/carers. We meet on the third Sunday of the month, 10.15 — 11.30 am. Film night

Our Film Night normally takes place on the last Friday of the month, commencing at 7.00 pm in the Wesley Hall. There will be popcorn, nibbles and soft drinks to enjoy whilst you watch, and usually a short discussion following....

Voices

This is a small Singing Group which meets to sing for enjoyment! We are now in our eighth year, and still finding interesting and exciting things to sing. We make occasional contributions to worship, especially for the major church festivals. New members are always welcome. There is no minimum standard; all that is required is enthusiasm! Our autumn term, in preparation for Christmas....

Uke-a-crew

Welcome to UKE-A-CREW. We have been playing together since September 2017.We meet every Saturday morning at the Methodist Church, King Street, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 1DY, 10.00 to 12.00 noon.Our main aim is to have fun. Our second aim is to play the ukulele. Some have played before whilst others are starting from scratch. There'll be a spare ukulele if you want to give it a try. Hope....

wool and needles

Do you love to knit, sew, crochet, or just sit and chat? On the third and last Tuesdays of the month the Knit and Natter group meet in the Fielding Room from 2.00 — 4.30 pm, over a cup of tea or coffee. Either bring your own project or join one of our charity projects (wool, patterns and needles provided). All skills....

Scrabble words1

Come and join in with a game of Scrabble! This club meets in the foyer of Wimborne Methodist Church on the first Thursday of each month from 2-4 pm. There are between 5 and 12 people taking part in games of 2, 3 or 4 players, with a break part way through for tea and biscuits. There is a £1 per session fee, and last September £60 was sent to church funds. A good time is had....

Guildford Cathedral

The Open Forum meets at Wimborne Methodist Church usually on the second and fourth Fridays of the month at 10.15 am from September through to May/June. We meet at 2.30 pm on the first Tuesday afternoon of the month in the Fielding Room.Our members bring an ecumenical contribution of ideas from the nine churches and five denominations which they represent, and a warm welcome is given to any ladies who would like to join us. After an hour or so of Fellowship, we always finish with a cup of tea and cake.We are part of Methodist Women....

Morning Prayers

Morning Prayers take place at Wimborne on Monday and Friday mornings, commencing at 9.30 am in the Fielding Room or Vestry. Lasting 15-20 minutes, each session follows a set liturgy of prayer from the Iona and Northumbria communities. There is time for reflection on the Bible passage each day, and prayers for members of the church.On Thursday mornings at 11.00 am there is a short service....

Cherrett Court 2

Cherrett Court is a residential Home in Ferndown, about five miles from Wimborne. We have several church members living there, some of whom are able to come to church for worship, others cannot manage this.The home is regularly visited by Pastoral Visitors from the church and Gwyneth takes communion there, when other residents of the home are invited to join in the....
