As the New Forest and BCP are now in Tier 4, Martin and the Stewards have made the difficult decision to suspend Sunday Worship at Barton for a few weeks until the number of cases in the area starts to fall. While churches are able to meet for worship in Tier 4 we feel that we should encourage people to follow the advice to stay at home and therefore help to contain the virus. We shall keep you advised of any changes to this decision as soon as possible.

During this time, you may be interested in some other ways in which you can worship and pray:

  • - 9.30am, Sundays, Verwood: Big Breakfast Zoom online service. Please contact to receive an invite.
  • - 10.45am, Sundays, Holtwood: Pre-recorded streamed service available on the Church's Facebook page where all previous services can also be viewed.
  • - 2.00-4.00 pm, Wednesdays, Crowe Hill: All are welcome to visit the church, which is open for private prayer, in a Covid-safe environment.

A Weekly Worship Service prepared by a variety of Methodist preachers around the Connexion is sent out to many of our folk via email. It has links to connect to YouTube for hymns and with images added for enriching a printed service. Copies are printed off and given to those without email.
