Blandford Methodist Church Lunch Club and Fellowship Hour
Friday 29th November 2024 was one of those unusual days in the calendar. Just before lunch was served, Louise and Michelle good friends and neighbours came and presented the Lunch Club with a cheque for £570-00. Annually the ladies raise funds for a local charity and this year the chosen recipient of their generosity and hard work was Lunch Club. Accepting the cheque on behalf of Lunch Club was Rona, Bernice and Alan. The huge cheque (not the real thing) is now displayed on the board in the hall.
Following lunch, a number of folk moved across from the hall to the church for Fellowship Hour. Here they set about making a snowman door stop. A welcome guest for this activity was the Intergenerational Mission Enabler, Tizz, who proved to be a dab hand with the glue gun. My, what an industrious group they were; happily helping others as the process of getting the rice in the sock via a funnel proved rather tricky, mind you the end products were all amazing.
