On Friday 14th June, 51 Lunch Club members paid a fond farewell and thank you to Gwyneth for her support over the past 8 years. Each has appreciated her chats that showed both compassion and concern for their welfare. Equally the short message delivered before the lunch, sometimes with tongue in cheek, was well received and caused food for thought. In appreciation, Gwyneth was presented with a garden voucher, an inscribed vase with well wishes from everyone at Lunch Club and a voucher to purchase some flowers to go in the vase when Gwyneth moves to her own home.
Staffed by those on probation, Gwyneth has always taken a keen interest in them (as well as in the local people who enjoy lunch twice a week) and who contribute to its smooth running.
