On Thursday 18th June members of the Milford on Sea Methodist Church were pleased to welcome year 5 and 6 pupils from the local primary school who were on a pilgrimage around the village.
It was fantastic to have the church full of young people and their teachers. In fact, due to numbers they were split into two groups as there were so many of them.
The group in the church were welcomed by Sylvia and Anne and were given a brief introduction to Methodism and its founder John Wesley and his brother Charles. Students were then shown key elements of the church before leaving collecting a small wooden cross to take on their journey.
The other group gathered in the carpark to look at the newly created garden to support wildlife. Mike interacted with the youngsters who enjoyed discussing eco topics. Both groups swapped over.
Then the students continued on their pilgrimage with a message to reflect on as they continued the journey. More details of the whole pilgrimage can be found on the link below.
