Highcliffe Methodist Church sent £450 over to the East Belfast Methodist mission last week in response to the violence on the streets there and the burning out of the homes of migrants living in the area.
Danny and I dropped by to deliver it and saw for ourselves some of the work going on to mitigate the continued poverty that lies behind the difficult task of bringing about peace.
The donation will support those affected and the work of EBM for all in the area as well as being an encouragement to those working there in knowing the struggles they face are heard by Methodist brothers and sisters elsewhere.
