Sunday 6th July was the second and final day of the 2025 Milford on Sea Music Festival and it started off with a service on the Village Green organised by the Christians Together in Milford on Sea and Everton group. A couple of light showers while the service was being set up might have put a few people off but there was still a good attendance when it started at 10:00 am.
Eddie Donaldson and Rebecca Webb led the service which opened with the song Hosanna (Praise is Rising) after which everyone was encouraged to recite the words from Psalm 150 verse 6 "Let everything that has breath, praise the Lord".
This was followed later in the service with a song (new to most of us) based upon this Bible verse. Prayers were said, including a number that had been written by some of the children who were present. Tim Barry representing the Baptist Church gave the message using the illustration of a cruise liner where you may be told to go to the lifeboats even though you may not be aware that there is any imminent danger and compared it with Scripture where we are told to always be ready as the Son of Man will come at an hour when you are not expecting him. The service concluded with the song "The trees of the field".
A lovely way to witness to the wider community in Milford on Sea.
