A country church which in worship cheerfully combines the traditional with a more modern approach and which also offers a great variety of events for the local community, equally supported by people from far and wide.
The church was founded in 1879 at the height of Methodism's popularity in this part of the country and was filled with local families, mostly farm workers and craftsmen. Time moves on, with a smaller congregation the church is as active as ever. After a recent major rebuilding and refurbishment programme we started three new initiatives each month: an informal "Quiet Time" prayer meeting, "Worship for You", a completely different approach to worship held café style in the church hall when preachers are invited to do their own thing (and they do!) and a Church Lunch raising funds for the Trussell Trust. We love to welcome people across the threshold so that they can enjoy with us good hospitality, fellowship and the feeling of God's spirit in this wonderful place.
