"A church on the High Street growing in Christ
and bringing Him to the heart of the community"

Highliffe Methodist Church is set within a community that is known for being one of Europe's highest concentration of people over the age of 65. Certainly the church has a reputation for being a church of retired people. Whilst this may have been the case a number of years ago, the situation today is somewhat different. Whilst there remains a high percentage of 'retired people' at Highcliffe, established and more recent initiatives revolving around family and children's work have resulted in a new shape for mission being developed at Highcliffe. Messy church, Children's church, toddler group, Brownies, Guides and a variety of new worship styles including a new monthly family worship beginning in July 2016 all form part of this shape. All ages at Highcliffe are looking forward to what God has in store for the church's role in God's mission to the local community (Our latest member is aged 12). A new 'Blowing Your Cover' discipleship course begins in May and this is a partnership endeavour with our sisters and brothers from the nearby Highcliffe branch of the God First Church. Put simply, Highcliffe Methodist Church is a church in the community that is for the whole community, whatever their age — all are very welcome.
