Hi
I'm Peter McNeill a supernumerary (retired) minister working in a team ministry with Andrew Pottage (the Circuit Superintendent). I live in Verwood with my wife Julie and dog Sylvie but my ministry is mostly in the Mudeford Lane (Christchurch) and Highcliffe Churches.
My parents had a caravan at Milford on Sea while I was growing up and I have kept coming to the New Forest and surrounding area ever since. My wife also knew the area having had family connexions nearby. Good memories and love for the area drew us back here after my retirement.
My hobbies include messing around with computers and computer networks, cooking and sewing – I make all my own shirts. I used to enjoy sailing but my physical health has made that difficult.
Having found myself getting more involved in the circuit and enjoying it I jumped at the possibility of becoming part of the circuit team.
At the heart of Christian living is, I believe, the communication of the Good News of Jesus by word and action. I love preaching and especially working with small groups to explore the bible and what it means to be a Christian. I am also passionate about the need for the church to reach out in love beyond its walls to all in need with care, compassion and help as well as with the gospel.
