Fellowship Hour at Blandford Methodist Church in February was a quiz with a difference. The twelve people gathered, each had a pen and a recording sheet which is quite normal for a quiz. However, the challenge was to use their taste buds to see what items they could recognise when blindfolded.

The selection of goodies on offer ranged from a chocolate flake to a piece of cream cracker with eighteen other items also served up. The event proved to be a great laugh with some folk having trouble getting going as they couldn't locate the plate with the sample on.

After a hesitant start, where people gingerly lifted up the item, then sniffed it or felt it before popping it into their mouths suddenly they got the hang of the game and eagerly tried the next portion of food. Once the quiz was under way comments such as: "I don't like that yuk"; "Yummy that's my favourite"; or "Oh what is it?" soon resonated around the table. A cup of tea was on hand to sip between each round to cleanse the palate.

Judy with a score of fifteen out of twenty was the winner, though there were some close runners up and some very full people.
