On what turned out to be a very warm Tuesday at the end of July, a goodly number of folk from Blandford Methodist Church Lunch Club set out by coach to Poole harbour. Here, they embarked on an hour's trip around Poole harbour on a Greenslade Pleasure Boat complete with commentary by a chap with a lovely voice. It was nice to just sit back, soak up the sunshine, enjoy a cuppa and a KitKat whilst taking in the sights of Brownsea Island, the mega expensive houses of Sandbanks & Lilliput and the local Poole to Studland chain-ferry.
On disembarking, the group then proceeded down the high street to Harlees Fish and Chip restaurant where they were treated to a delicious lunch with excellent service. A slow meander back to the coach via the ice cream shop rounded off a pleasant day's excursion.
