Webteam: October 2019
On Friday 25th October, Jan Conlon, from Blandford Stour Rotary Club, came along to Blandford Methodist Church Lunch Club to receive the 29 Shoe Boxes completed for the Rotary Shoe Box Appeal 2019. The boxes had been filled and donated by members of Blandford Methodist Church, Lunch Club as well as family and friends.
The amazing generosity of so many folk in the form of gifts, money and knitted items means that on Christmas Day this year, 29 orphaned boys and girls, age ranging from 4-15, living in Eastern Europe will each receive at least one present to open.
A big thank you to all those who contributed to this event. Who knows, perhaps next year we will exceed that amount.
