For our New Year get together, 24 members of Blandford Methodist Church gathered at the Langton Arms for a meal and skittling.

On arrival the group was divided into team A and B for the skittling. They then competed against each other for the first two rounds, the outcome being one game all. To make the last game more exciting Richard suggested we play Killer. This was an individual knock-out round, successfully won by Nicola. Throughout the evening our 5 youngsters attending happily replaced knocked down skittles, returned balls and kept score.

Whilst folk were skittling, others were having a go at various quizzes, which proved challenging but a good laugh. When the food was served there was contented munching interspersed with plenty of chatting.

As the evening ended, it was agreed by all that the service had been really good, the food excellent, the skittling very entertaining, but more importantly the fellowship we shared had been such a pleasure. We are looking forward to our next event which takes place on Friday 24th January at 6pm and is to be an evening of Tabletop Games with a light supper.
