On a beautiful sunny evening in late July there was a lovely Songs of Praise service held on the quay at Keyhaven. Despite the counter attractions of the Commonwealth Games and the women's Euro final, a good crowd from all of the churches in the villages came out to attend.
Organised by the churches in Milford on Sea and Everton, the service contained contributions from the Baptist and Methodist Ministers, an address from Revd Tasha Anderson from All Saints' and music from the Boscombe Salvation Army Band. Starting with "Praise, my soul, the King of heaven", through "Will your anchor hold in the storms of life" and "Great is thy faithfulness" and many others and ending with "Amazing Grace" the quay resounded to the sound of voices praising God.
An offering was taken up, the proceeds of which will be shared between The Mission to Seafarers and The Salvation Army.
