We require an enthusiastic Christian person with a diverse range of skills to manage our two busy sets of community church buildings on a daily basis. There is always lots going on. You will need to be approachable with people; physically fit with good maintenance skills; adept in computer/website skills; and able to manage office administration.
We offer a competitive rate of pay for a part-time job (£12.50 per hour for 25 hours = £16,250). The hours can be worked flexibly, although the mornings Monday to Friday are our busiest times, and some keyholding and caretaking work at less usual times is also required. This post would best suit a local person.
This job combines three main areas:
-Management of property and maintenance and caretaking
-Bookings management, liaison with hirers, controlling use of buildings
-Administration, computer skills, website maintenance, printing and publishing
Main qualities required:
-Computer literate and a confident administrator
-DIY skills, physically fit, H+S and COSHH legislation knowledge
-Controlling a busy booking diary, and busy buildings
-Excellent person liaison skills, representing the welcoming faith of this Christian church to a wide variety of people, handling conflicts and complaints.
-Line management of staff
-Control of contractors
-Helping set and meet the annual budget and income and expenditure targets
