My Dear Friends,

Welcome to the third week in our series: "Discipleship Lessons from the gospel of Luke". Luke 9: 51-62 introduces us to three luke-warm wanna-be followers of Jesus but only after James and John try to destroy a Samaritan village.

Our worship video begins with our gifted singers and musicians leading us with, "Everyone needs compassion (Saviour)". Jean Davies reads our passage from Luke's gospel and following our preaching we will join together to sing "In Christ alone." Win George has contributed some beautiful prayers for the Worship at Home sheets, they are heartfelt and exactly right for the days in which we are living. The Bible study this week is written by Norman Bonnett and for the many of you who are now meeting in weekly zoom groups and using these notes I pray that you will find them a real blessing providing you with depth and clarity. These groups are open for all who receive these resources, please let me know if you would like to join one, we learn and grow better when we do it together.

Be blessed as we use all of these resources to worship God and join with these first disciples of Jesus in learning some very important discipleship lessons
