Wimborne welcomed 22 families to their recent Christmas Celebration. The 37 children attending enjoyed singing with actions and musical shakers, listening to the Nativity story and helping with the retelling using our knitted Nativity figures (thank you Val). They also made a Nativity picture and various decorations to hang on their Christmas tree at home. Some children helped make a picture on a big bauble shape which remained in the sanctuary for the Christmas Day congregation to enjoy. After tea, every child was able to choose two knitted Christmas characters to take home (made by our lovely Knit and Natter group – thank you).
Thank you to all those from our congregation who came to help that day. And special thanks to our Minister, Deborah, who steers us through the afternoon and all our crazy activities.
