Worship for Sunday 16th January

blandford stark cross

My dear friends,
We join Jesus at a wedding in Cana as the wine is about to "run out". The miraculous sign that we witness is far more than just averting a calamity at a wedding, it is about us turning to Jesus in times of trouble and trusting him. Mary's words to the servants, "do whatever he tells you" is an important message to us today. When the "wine runs out" in our relationships, our health or our employment and we are faced with many difficulties it is Jesus that we must turn to, for the provision of "new wine".
This weeks video includes a very popular rendition of "Our God" from the Highcliffe music group and a reading of John 2 from Janine Witts. With thanks to Deacon Glenda Sidding who has provided the preaching notes. I have again included some questions on the back of the Worship sheet that will enable you to go deeper into the text.
With God's blessings,
Phil
