On Thursday 13th October there was a charity lunch held at the Milford on Sea Methodist Church. Funds were being raised for Counselling Together, a Christian charity providing counselling services for all throughout the New Forest.
The lunch was organised and cooked by Margaret Boyce, a Trustee of the charity, and who was ably assisted by her team of volunteer helpers. Over thirty people attended the lunch with representatives coming from most of the churches in the village to lend their support.
Between courses, the diners were shown a short video and heard about the work of the charity from Sue Ingram, Counselling Manager. In total the lunch raised £525 which will be allocated to the charity's bursary fund to help provide financial support for those taking advantage of the counselling services but where they are unable to pay the full costs of the sessions.
Counselling Together is a registered charity and provides professional counselling for men, women and couples. For more information please phone 07983 320450 or email counsellingtogether@yahoo.com. You can also find more details on the website at: www.counsellingtogether.co.uk
